Having fun during the formal photos
Katrina + Derek planned to crowd source photos for their intimate backyard wedding and BBQ. We were honored when they instead invited us to take photos of their celebration on a beautiful midwest fall afternoon.
Family and a few close friends were invited to witness Katrina and Derek's vows.
Lunch for the wedding party on the deck Derek finished building just in time for the wedding celebration.
The couple's wedding gift to each other was this refurbished love seat. Derek stripped and refinished the wood and Katrina sewed and upholstered the cushions.
The couple's personalities and individual tastes shaped the mood and style of the day. Lots of smiles, laughter, local food, and cowboy boots.
Later in the afternoon, more friends stopped by for a pig roast.
